Leicester rise to the top after Jamie Vardy penalty settles gritty victory over Wolves

Match summary:

Vardy converted 1 of the 2 penalties given to us in the first half, giving us the 1 and only goal of the match, and all three points!

Referee Anthony Taylor gave us the penalty after reviewing the handball by Max Kilman, and Vardy converted from the spot inside the opening half.

Our second penalty was not as successful, as just before the half time break Vardy had another chance to bag a goal from the spot, but Rui Patricio saved it second time around, after Rayan Ait-Nouri fouled JJ in the box!

Wolves rallied into the second half , with Neves firing a powerful shot forcing Kasper to make a superb save, and multiple saves before hand!

Harvey Barnes had an effort deflected over in the later stages of the match, and the match finished with Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester going top of the league with 18 points, above Spurs and Liverpool.

Wolves drop to 9th place, with 13 points from eight matches.

After the international break, Leicester will face Liverpool on the 21st of November, and Wolves will be hosting on form Southampton!

This is what Leicester Fan Tv’s Sam had to say about the match…
“It was a good performance, and i think we played solid throughout the whole match. We played our own football against Wolves, and thankfully through a penalty we managed to get all 3 points! We are in top form at the moment being on top of the Premier League and our Europa League group! Hopefully we can come back from International break with this form, and hope that no one gets injured during their duties away…”
