the Foxes are looking to finish the group stage by winning Group G when they welcome Greek side AEK, in our final match against bottom of the Group Stage… Can we get a win to top the group?
Overall this match is probably one of the biggest ones… Why? Well, if we win against AEK, we will win the Group, and we would be considered the amongst the ‘top teams’ in Europa League, which means we would avoid the Champions League sides like Real Madrid until the Quarter-Final/Semi-Finals.

AEK have only picked up 3 points from a possible 15 in the groups stage, and a win for them would only put them 3rd at best, so their Europa League run has come to an end.

After losing our last Groups Stage match to Zorya and drawing against Braga, we are sitting joint top with Braga, but narrowly sitting above them on goal difference, and as Braga face the harder of the 2 bottom sides, we are looking to snatch all 3 points!

AEK beat Zorya 4-1 in a good thrashing, but have failed to win in any of their 4 other matches…

This is what Leicester Fan Tv Sam had to say about the match
“There is a lot for us to play for, and AEK have nothing but pride to play for. If we win, we can win the Group Stage, and it would make out Round of 32 onward matches slightly easier as we won’t have to face the Champions League sides/the best teams of the Europa League, so for me we need to go out finish the Group with a win!”

Team news:

Rodgers defended his decision to bring in Caglar Soyuncu for last weeks match in Ukraine even though he came of after just 17 minutes of playing due to injury, and with Ricky P also picking up a slight knock, they will both be out for a couple more weeks, let’s hope we can see them come back into the squad sooner rather than later, but not too rushed!
However, Ndidi was part of the returning 3, and he is looking fit a ready to go, so there’s a good chance we will see him start against AEK.

AEK Athens left-back Emmanuel Insua was cautioned for the third time in the tournament in last week’s defeat to Braga and will serve a suspension on Thursday.
Seventeen-year-old Mario Mitaj could therefore be in line for a start at the King Power, but the more experienced Helder Lopes is also an option for Carrera.
