A new rumour that is doing the round is Kelechi Iheanacho to Nottingham Forest for a rumoured fee of £8 Million, and how bitter would it feel to lose a £25 Million player on the cheap to no other than our East Midlands rivals, who have done a flip around with us, by staying in the Premier League whilst we’ve gotten Relegated…

Would Forest suite Nacho? Well, the simple answer is yes. He deserves Premier League football, and has been tucked away in a corner at Leicester for the majority of his time with the foxes, showing that when he is consistently played and scoring or assisting goals, he is a massive threat uptop.

Nacho joined Leicester back in 2017/18 from Manchester City for a fee around £25 Million, which at the time we all thought what a great signing!

Since joining Leicester, he has made 180 appearances in all competitions scoring 41 goals and getting and getting 25 assists since his time at Leicester.

Although he was inconsistent, he has been a valuable squad player to our team, and he has grown as a player at Leicester, still only 26 years of age with the rest of his career ahead of him, you can tell he is getting better with age…

This is what LFTV’s Sam had to say on Iheanacho leaving to join Forest…
“I don’t blame him. He has been inconsistent for us which is fair to say, but in previous seasons, specifically under Rodgers, he has not been utilised well at all. He has proven himself capable to do it in the Premier League, and when given a chance he has provided, but we have been foolish enough to not use him when needed. To see him to to Nottingham Forest would be a gut punch, but it is what it is, the club needs money and players off the wage bill, but for £8 Million? I actually think that’s not far off the asking price, with 1 year left on his contract and clearly there is a lack of confidence within himself, maybe we do sell him and bring in a proven Championship player, although i’d much rather sell Daka and keep Kel as i think he is and could be a great machine in the Championship.”

What do YOU think to all the rumours with Iheanacho linked to join Nottingham Forest? Be honest, could you blame him? he deserves better than Championship football, i’ll leave it at that…
