Casadei Seals All 3 Points!!

Leicester hosted Cardiff City in their 3rd fixture of the 2023/24 Championship season, and boy did it end with a bang from new loan signing Casadei as he sealed all 3 points from a late goal to give The Foxes a 2-1 lead…

We opened the match with a goal in the 36th minute from Wanya Marcal-Madivadua as he tucked away a half volley from a corner into Cardiff’s top-left corner, opening the match and scoring his first every senior goal in professional football.

Shorty before the half-time whistle, newly signed Aaron Ramsey Bagged an absolutely beauty of a goal from about 35 yards out into the top right corner, tucked into the back of the net past Hermansen, making it all even at the break, and quite a tide shift as Leicester dominated the first half and kept Cardiff quiet until their late first half goal.

In the second half, both teams came out in full force, looking to score the winning goal, after a harsh back and forth match, it took a last minute blast from 5 yards out from Casadei in the 90+2 Minute of the match to seal the deal and bag all 3 points!

After a emotional celebration, The Foxes recuperated and held the ball well, sitting in the corner flag causing Mahlon Romeo to lash out in the dying minutes of the match and getting a second yellow card and a sending off just before the full-time whistle.

“It was a good result in the end, but you could see we lacked formation after they equalised. We dominated the first half, but a shock goal from Ramsey sent us into our shell, we needed to come out in the second half and continue to dominate, but we didn’t. We matched Cardiff the rest of the match, and a last minute goal won it for us, for me we’re still yet to be comfortable in matches, and we need to pick up some structure which hopefully time will tell”
