Leicester fall to defeat again – Report by Matt Ballard

The foxes would have hoped the win over Nottingham Forest last week meant things were turning around.

And it seemed they may had been on the right path when a Harvey Barns effort took a double deflection and landed at Daka’s feet, who swivelled and fired past Travers

City also had more chances to double their lead, with Patson missing an opportunity and Johnny Evans nearly turning in a corner.

There were signs, however, with Christie spurning a fantastic opportunity and Fredricks maybe having a case for a penalty, but the referee disagreed, and he was booked for simulation.

Leicester then paid the price for not putting the game out of sight in a four-minute turnaround that shocked them. With Billings powering a shot past a hapless Ward who could only get a hand on it, Christie then made amends latching onto a Solanke header and putting it past Ward.

The result means Leicester’s fifth straight away loss, and they remain 19th

After the game, Brendan Rodgers said he doesn’t feel any pressure on him, and his only focus is the upcoming home games against Crystal Palace and Leeds. You have to think that the Northern Irishman needs positive results in these games if he still wants to be in the dugout, at least until the world cup.
