Will he replace Kasper?!

Rumour has it [Source: Telegraph Football] that Robert Sanchez from Brighton could replace Kasper Schmeichel if he leaves Leicester, and the rumoured price tag is around £50 Million, Would you pay that?!

What do you know about Sanchez?

Sanchez is a 24 year old Goalkeeper from Spain, who has braced his way through the Brighton team the past season.

The Spaniard joined Brighton back in 2013, playing his way up through the youth squad and finally making a break into the first team back in 2018, but it did take a while to become their consistent goalie…

in 2017/18 he went out on loan for Forest Green Rovers and made 17 appearances for them in the league.

He then went out to Rochdale on another loan he following season after, making 26 appearances in the league for them, earning enough respect to make his way through to the first team in Brighton’s squad!

in 2020 onwards, he has made 64 appearances for Brighton all in the league, solidifying his place in the Number.1 spot for Brighton, and gaining interest on him!

Would you take him at Leicester City?

Fans Reactions to him joining

“Kasper made the second most amount of saves in the league this year. If he wants to stay, keep him. If he wants to go, get pope not Sanchez. He will not cost £50, more like 25/30 as Burnley will massively struggle with finances, and in my eyes he is a better keeper than sanchez for a cheaper price” – Alex

“Agree with others who said Pope. Seen more I like with him than I did with Sanchez, but not saying Sanchez is bad though. 50 mil is far too much for a keeper though. If we had 50mil to spare We would be better off spending that on a quality RW or CB than on a Keeper tbh. So go get Pope at a reduced price since Burnley have gone down and he still has room to grow in my opinion” – David

“Sanchez looks like a solid keeper, but I think we will have Kasper for another year, he has still a lot of good to offer, and yes his distribution hasn’t been the best, but he is still an all-round solid, one of the best keepers we will see in a LCFC shirt. If he can sort his kicking out he can really help us again for another season, but we should give the captaincy to someone in midfield. A keeper should already manage their defence and box, we need a loudmouth player shouting in the midfield for next season…” – Sam
