I WOULD Consider Taking on Leicester – Mancini Says

Roberto Mancini has said he would consider becoming Leicester City’s next manager if they were to make him an offer.

Mancini has been linked with a return to the club, for whom he played five times on loan from Lazio in 2001, following the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri last month.

However, he said he was not contacted by the Premier League champions, who have given caretaker boss Craig Shakespeare the job until the end of the season.

Former Manchester City manager Mancini told reporters: “I played for the Foxes and I am one of their fans, but that does not necessarily mean I will be their manager.

“I’ve never had any sort of contact with their directors, but then again if they do have a big, valid project in mind…!”
