Leicester 2-0 Brighton Fan Match view by James Harlow….

It’s the first game at the King Power of the new season. Leading up to this game there has been various issues with Season Tickets following a new system. This did cause issues and some fans didn’t get into later and may have missed the opening action.

The same starting 11 as Arsenal, probably best as they lined up well and played well. Okazaki up front with Vardy starting to form a good partnership which is good as 3 other strikers chomping at the bit to play as well. The stadium was filled with flags, pyros and flames and we are ready to go…..

Straight from off Leicester passing with purpose and Brighton chasing their tales, the tricky Mahrez drippling inside and out and then shoots down low, the keeper spills and Okazaki slots home. A great goal and great work from the magician.

Leicester dominate the first half with exceptional performances from Maguire and Mahrez.2nd half starts well with Leicester carrying on from where they left off. Mahrez corner and its 2-0 a sublime corner just like he did at Arsenal but this time his corner finds Maguire and its 2-0 and Brighton look done for. They have hardly been in this match and the foxes have not got out first gear yet.Ten mins after the goal and Knockaert is on, he gets a great ovation as no doubt the faithful foxes remember the great he did here.

Leicester dominate the second half with few chances to Brighton. Finishes 2-0, Brighton looked awful today and I can’t see where their goals will come from and can see them going down.Highlight of match for me was Maguire his ability at the back and going forward reminds me of Walsh. Maguire looks England material and no doubt be pushing for a place soon. Mahrez looked back to his best today let’s hope that he stays at least till January especially on that form.

PLAYER RATINGS:

Schmeichel (6), Simpson (6), Morgan (6), Maguire (9), Fuchs (6), Mahrez (9), Ndidi (8), James (7), Albrighton (7), Okazaki (8), Vardy (7)

Slimani (6), Gray (NA)

My man of the match was Maguire, he is a great player and is definitely what we needed at the back.

Onwards to Sheff utd, hopefully see a good display and a fair few goals.
